Dr. Aasheet desai (Ophthalmologist)

Mr Desai is a highly skilled consultant ophthalmic surgeon with a career spanning more than 18 years. Throughout that time, he has helped thousands of people discover the freedom that corrective eye surgery brings.

Considered by his peers to be an expert in refractive surgery, he is a specialist in refractive lens exchange and cataract surgery, and has also trained a number of surgeons in cataract surgery procedures.

After graduating from university, Mr Desai went on to further complete diplomas and degrees at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Bombay; the College of Surgeons in Edinburgh; the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and the European Board of Ophthalmologists.

Mr Desai has held positions at a range of hospitals across the country, including current consultant at Stepping Hill Hospital since 2010. He is also the author of a best-selling book whose object was to assist trainee surgeons in cataract procedures.

He has been an invited speaker and presenter of scientific research papers at a number of conferences through UK, USA and India.

Mr Desai performs lens replacement surgery at Optical Express in Manchester
