The legendary Dr. U. P. Rao, the first General Surgeon in Dombivli, recognized the need for a multispecialty hospital in Dombivli to provide quality healthcare. Named after his wife Mamata Rao, Mamata hospital was the first 50-bedded-multispecialty hospital inaugurated in Dombivli in 1994.
