Muthu Pharmacy

The pharmacy chain was started by the Muthu Group in the year 1970. Muthu Pharmacy offers a number of medicines and medical products. The pharmacy provides general as well as emergency medicines. The first retail outlet was opened at Perambur in Chennai. It was named as 'Sangam Pharmacy'. It was set by E. Gnanam. He has been the Zonal Secretary and General Secretary of Tamil Nadu Chemists and Druggists Association from the year 1992. He has introduced various measures, which benefited the Pharmaceutical Association. He has worked as a Joint Secretary of the All India Organisation of Chemists & Druggist and the Convener for South Zone – AIOCD.
At present, the pharmacy chain consists of about fifty outlets. With years of experience, the Muthu Group started a new business into the second aspect of Pharmaceutical Trading namely Wholesale Distribution. It has six such trading outlets. Muthu Pharmacy, Chennai has 24 hrs retail outlets at Purasawakkam, Perambur and Egmore for the convenience of Pharmaceutical Industry, Hospitals and the general public.
